My daily schedule at Accenture varies a lot. I start every day by eating good breakfast. Then, on the way to work, I review my list of short-term and long-haul tasks and organize them in order of urgency. My activities range from meeting with different client business units to conducting knowledge-sharing sessions with another Accenture team who works with the same client.
The most exciting project I’ve handled to date is one focused on risk assessment. I had to go on-location as a mystery shopper to find out if the client’s staff were following the client’s standard operating procedures. This was specifically exciting for me because I was able to see for myself how well the client’s processes worked in a live, real-time environment. More than that, I also had the chance to work with them to improve their core operations as a business.
The environment at Accenture is friendly and inviting. The ability to work harmoniously with colleagues is highly valued and constantly developed here. Accenture people are incredibly talented and committed to supporting each other to achieve significant business outcomes. Most of all, we never forget to have fun along the way and celebrate at the end!
I’m always exposed to extensive learning opportunities, be it training modules, workshops and seminars, or the various industry experts I meet at every turn. From my PowerPoint deck creation competencies to my Excel dashboard and macro prowess, the skills Accenture has helped me develop are countless.
What I like the most about my work here at Accenture is the way it has let me utilize and enhance my leadership capabilities. With each new project and set of colleagues I’m assigned, I get to sharpen my strategic thinking, as well as my command of the tasks at hand.
To offset my fast-paced work week, I spend my weekends and personal time creating and embarking on novel experiences. I enjoy trying out new restaurants and bars in and around town and make it a point to plan and go on a holiday abroad once or twice each year.
