I start my workday by creating a to-do list. I organize my tasks and prioritize them according to urgency and importance. Afterward, I check the schedule of meetings on my calendar to begin preparing for discussions with a client or my teammates. I then focus on completing my tasks at hand.
Throughout the rest of the day, I strive to stay organized with my time. I devote most of it to tackling our client’s issues, which can involve process, productivity or employee or customer experience complaints. I work with my teammates to resolve such issues creatively. To do so, we leverage Accenture’s FORM_Methodology, a design thinking approach that emphasizes tailoring solutions to the client’s business and needs.
In one project, my team and I combined FORM with Agile methodology to set up a digital transformation office for a client. We designed the office’s structure, business process and innovation tools, which helped pave the path to the client’s enterprise digitization. We conducted classroom trainings for the client teams and equipped them with minimum viable product (MVP) development techniques.
The opportunity to do such exciting and transformative work is what I love about my role and about Accenture. Here, I get to work with the right tools, processes and people to shape best-fit client solutions. It also helps that our workplace culture encourages continuous learning and innovation. Even in a pandemic, I continue to innovate safely using cutting-edge technologies that enable virtual work and collaboration.
At Accenture, a variety of learning opportunities also exists, which is another thing that I love about our company. To me, it is a testament to how passionately the company invests in its people. Through such opportunities, I quickly scaled my learning curve on consulting, even with an engineering background!
Even now, I constantly strive to learn about new technologies and to hone my business problem-solving skills. I took training at Accenture’s training center in India and attended a consulting boot camp in Malaysia. These experiences also allowed me to gain insight into other cultures!
I also engage in leisure activities in my spare time. On weekends, I play tennis with my family. I also love to make music by playing the piano. To me, there’s no better way to relax and recharge for work!
