"My role at Accenture is more than just a job. It’s an experience that supercharged my personal and professional growth."
How I put change in motion
As a digital marketing strategy manager, I design business solutions that enable companies to connect and engage with their customers in the most effective ways. I help them identify and respond to customers’ changing needs and habits, so they can build relationships that last.
Every day at Accenture is different. My projects present new opportunities and challenges all the time. For instance, I might have a new client or need to work with the latest digital marketing trends. However, despite juggling multiple projects, I make sure one element stays the same: my constant communication with clients and teammates, which I consider my secret to successful projects!
My mornings begin with a team stand-up meeting. I touch base with colleagues while checking ongoing tasks and deadlines. I monitor our project progress. Afterward, I meet with the client to discuss concerns and provide updates.
During the rest of my day, I research, prepare reports or plan workshops. And while I currently work from home, I remain in touch with my teammates, collaborating continuously with them on various aspects of our project.
Sometimes, my project focuses on delivering customer insight rather than business strategy or solution. For instance, I once led a team of 15 colleagues in conducting generations research in Thailand. We interviewed members of Generation X, those born in the mid-1960s to early 1980s, and Generation Z, those born in mid-1990s to early 2010s, to identify their unique characteristics and behavioral traits. Our work led to insights that enhanced understanding of consumer behavior. It also helped clients improve customer products and services!
On a personal level, the diversity of my projects spurred my personal and professional growth. I developed and fine-tuned my skills, including my digital savviness. I learned to work flexibly, from the client site or from home, depending on the situation. As project manager, I became adept in the art of communication so I could reduce roadblocks to project success. Nowadays, I mentor and coach junior teammates in my projects so we can learn and grow together as a team.
To balance out the time I spend at my desk, I devote my spare time to outdoor activities. Any given weekend usually finds me cycling, snorkeling, or exploring different cities with my family!
