This position is part of the Accenture Research Global High Tech team. The Research Specialist will work closely with senior researchers and Accenture's High Tech leadership, supporting global and regional priorities through cutting-edge research and insights. The individual will contribute to both Thought Leadership (TL) and Client-focused Research (CFR), helping shape strategic viewpoints, guide client engagements, and enable competitive positioning for Accenture and its clients. Key Responsibilities include Contribute to research-based insights through structured market analysis, industry monitoring, and synthesis of relevant data and trends across High-Tech segments Explore key industry themes such as AI silicon and accelerator competition, edge computing, enterprise cloud migration, software-defined networking, semiconductor geopolitics, platform consolidation, and B2B2C go-to-market models Monitor competitive dynamics across major High-Tech players (hyperscalers, semiconductor leaders, OEMs, and emerging disruptors) to identify strategic implications for Accenture clients Assist in analyzing industry and company data using various research and visualization tools. Work with senior researchers to update internal models and produce client-ready outputs Support Thought Leadership publications on High-Tech priorities such as AI infrastructure buildout, value chain transformation, and enterprise reinvention Work with research leads and client teams across global markets to shape viewpoints, answer strategic questions, and contribute to publications or internal briefings Help craft clear, compelling research outputs- ranging from slides to written summaries- suitable for leadership and client consumption Hard skills Strong understanding of or interest in the High-Tech industry, including awareness of major trends across semiconductors, enterprise IT, consumer devices, networking, and MedTech Financial analysis and strong data skills are a must Skilled in applying a range of research methodologies, including secondary data gathering, market and company profiling, and strategic frameworks Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to make sense out of data, with ability to analyze, visualize, and interpret Comfortable using Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude) to enhance research and content creation Familiarity with agentic AI workflows and automation for research tasks such as monitoring, structured synthesis, and report generation is a strong plus Experience accessing structured data via financial and market intelligence platforms (e.g., PitchBook, CB Insights, IDC, Statista) and comfort working with APIs or data exports is an advantage Awareness of technology policy, export controls, and industrial strategy (e.g. CHIPS Act, EU AI Act) and their implications for High-Tech value chains is a plus Ability to compile reports with clear storyline and well-structured findings Able to write in a clear, concise, and compelling way Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; visualization experience with Power BI or similar is a plus Soft skills Problem solver approach to work Able to work independently and collaboratively in global, virtual, cross-cultural teams Ability to present research findings to senior audience Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable engaging with research leads, client teams, and leadership High levels of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to continuous improvement Ability to work on multiple engagement and priorities simultaneously. Reports to: Research Manager Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree, preferably in a science or engineering A PG degree in business, such as business (MBA), economics or equivalent is a plus Work Experience: 5-8 years of experience, preferably in a consulting environment, think tank, technology company or other business research organization or demonstrated equivalent skill
