Software Engineering Analyst
"Adversity may slow me down, but I will never stop walking."
As a Software Engineering Analyst, I’ve been given opportunities to take on various roles. This includes being involved in gathering of our client’s requirements, designing the data model, and building, testing and implementing the “Extract, Transform, Load (ETL)” solution. I am also involved in data analytics and help facilitate the user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions and change management workshops when needed.
Here at Accenture, there are many opportunities to learn and grow. I gain experience from the opportunities I had when taking on various roles, and it helps me understand different workflow systems better. I also get to work with specialists in the field and learn from the different ways they approach problems. We work well as a team! I’m glad everyone is supportive. No matter the problem, our team always helps in times of need. We ensure that we overcome challenges together. Every member plays a part in a project to make a difference and impact in this world.

A regular day at work includes interacting with clients, thinking and building solutions, and working with team members to reach our common goal.
The most exciting project I’ve worked on is the Enterprise Data Hub (EDH). I was able to see it through from start to go-live. We faced some challenges along the way, but with teamwork, nothing is impossible. We work together to make a difference and every team member plays their part wonderfully.
Even when my colleagues and I are not in the office, we go out for team bonding activities. It helps us learn more about each other. We develop a certain bond when we hang out. Recently we played laser tag. It was fun!
When I’m not at work, I usually spend time with my family and friends. I also play the piano and bake.

Have a positive and open mindset and you will go far.
When I graduated from my polytechnic diploma studies, I started to look for job opportunities. It was then that I found out about the Emerging Technologist Development Program (ETDP). I decided to go for it as it allowed me to study part-time and work full time. Challenges help you learn and grow, after all. Through the program, I understood concepts better while earning my salary at the same time. I’m glad I grabbed the opportunity and would recommend you doing the same too!
