About the Role
Accenture Commodity Markets, part of Accenture CEO Advisory, helps organizations address complex strategy, trading and market transformation challenges through industry expertise, analytics, technology and AI.
Based in Singapore, the Strategy Consultant will support engagements across commodity markets and trading, including market strategy, commercial and portfolio optimization, trading and risk capabilities, operating models, and data and AI-enabled transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage defined workstreams across strategy and transformation engagements.
- Conduct market, competitor, commercial, financial, and operational analysis and translate findings into practical recommendations.
- Support client interviews, workshops and presentations for senior stakeholders.
- Work on commodity market strategy, trading and risk management, portfolio optimisation, operating models and technology transformation.
- Develop business cases, market assessments, scenario analyses and commercial evaluations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary and international teams.
- Use digital, analytics and AI-enabled tools responsibly to support research and delivery.
- Contribute to proposals, market research, thought leadership and practice development.
What we need:
- Typically 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in strategy consulting, commodity markets, energy, trading, risk management or a related industry.
- Strong analytical, quantitative and structured problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with clients or senior stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret market, commercial and financial information and communicate clear recommendations.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with written and verbal proficiency in English.
- Ability to work effectively across diverse and geographically distributed teams.
- Interest in commodity markets, trading, technology, data and AI.
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to energy, metals, mining, agriculture, chemicals, utilities, transportation or other commodity-related sectors.
- Knowledge of trading, hedging, risk management, market fundamentals, portfolio optimisation or commercial strategy.
- Experience with market modelling, financial analysis, data visualization or programming tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Python, R or SQL.
- Relevant finance, economics, engineering, business or quantitative qualifications are advantageous.
Location and Working Arrangements
- Based in Singapore.
- Travel may be required depending on business and client needs.
- Flexible working arrangements may apply, with client-site presence where required.
