Position Title: HSE Manager – Client Site Safety & Programs
The HSE Manager – Client Site Safety & Programs provides regional and portfolio level leadership for client site and offsite Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs. This role bridges field execution and enterprise strategy by translating Accenture HSE standards, client contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements into consistent, scalable, and auditable field implementation.
The role owns program deployment, regional oversight, and performance management while providing escalation support and technical leadership for higher risk or complex client engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Deployment & Oversight
Deploy and operationalize client site and offsite HSE programs across assigned regions, accounts, or portfolios.
Translate enterprise HSE standards and client safety requirements into practical field execution guidance.
Ensure consistent implementation of audits, inspections, training validation, and incident response processes.
Own defined program elements such as training governance, contractor safety controls, and site readiness processes.
Regional / Portfolio Leadership
Serve as the primary escalation point for HSE Leads and site level safety resources.
Provide technical direction, coaching, and quality assurance for audits, investigations, and corrective actions.
Prioritize resources and support based on risk, client exposure, and incident trends.
Step into client facing or field roles for high risk, high visibility, or escalated engagements.
Incident & Emergency Management
Lead or oversee complex incident investigations and ensure effective root cause analysis and closure.
Review incident trends, audit results, and near miss data to identify systemic risks.
Drive corrective and preventive action plans and verify effectiveness.
Support Stop Work Authority decisions and client escalations when required.
Training & Site Readiness Governance
Own governance of training, authorization, and site readiness requirements across assigned scope.
Ensure employees, subcontractors, and vendors meet client and regulatory requirements prior to mobilization.
Validate training effectiveness and competency, not just completion.
Partner with central HSE teams to ensure training functions as a risk control mechanism.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as an HSE lead for assigned client accounts or regions.
Support interpretation and implementation of client safety requirements and contractual obligations.
Partner with Legal, HR, Procurement, and Global HSE on complex or ambiguous requirements.
Represent Accenture in client audits, safety reviews, and joint investigations as needed.
Continuous Improvement
Identify gaps and inconsistencies in field execution and recommend program improvements.
Contribute to development of global tools, templates, and guidance.
Support integration of acquisitions or new service offerings into existing HSE programs.
Champion continuous improvement and safety culture maturity across regions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent field experience in HSE, Industrial Hygiene, or a related discipline.
Proven experience leading audits, investigations, and corrective action programs
Experience supporting high risk industries or complex client environments.
Strong client facing communication and escalation management skills
Demonstrated experience leading regional programs, portfolios, or multi-site operations.
Strong working knowledge of relevant, applicable safety regulations
Working knowledge of ISNetworld, Avetta, ComplyWorks platforms.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent field experience in Occupational Health and Safety, HS&E, Industrial Hygiene, or a related discipline.
English
Professional certification (CSP (or international equivalent such as Chartered OHS Professional (Australia), CMIOSH (UK), or NEBOSH International Diploma)
7-10 years of progressive HSE experience with direct field or client site work, Occupational Health and Safety, HS&E, Industrial Hygiene, or a related discipline.
