AWS Pre-Sales Engineer AI & Data Apac
About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Originate new business opportunities by identifying client challenges and shaping AI, data, and cloud‑enabled solutions
- Partner with sales, solutioning, and account teams to provide technical and commercial guidance throughout pre‑sales and deal cycles
- Develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies for AI and data offerings leveraging AWS cloud capabilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives, technical leaders, and key ecosystem partners, especially within the telecommunications and networking sectors
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to design and articulate end‑to‑end AI and data‑driven solutions aligned to client needs
- Monitor emerging trends in AI, machine learning, and data analytics to inform solution design, risk mitigation, and strategic direction
- Lead strategic negotiations with partners, vendors, and clients to maximize business value and ensure successful joint initiatives
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in AI, data analytics, cloud solutions, or technology strategy with a strong track record of solution origination and business development
- Proven experience in pre‑sales, solution architecture, or sales engineering supporting complex AI/data/cloud engagements
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities with the ability to influence senior executives and negotiate in high‑impact environments
- Deep understanding of AI/ML platforms, data analytics architectures, and cloud ecosystems (preferably AWS)
- Industry background in telecommunications, networking, or technology service providers
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling business value
- Experience working across Asia‑Pacific (APAC) markets
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands‑on experience with AWS AI/ML and data services
- Familiarity with ecosystem‑driven co‑innovation or co‑selling models
- Strong understanding of large‑scale digital transformation initiatives
