AI/ML Computational Scientist
About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement machine learning algorithms, models, and computational systems
- Design and build scalable data pipelines and apply MLOps/DevOps practices for production deployment
- Customize Deep Learning and Generative AI models based on business needs, data availability, and infrastructure requirements
- Work with HPC environments and edge devices to optimize model performance
- Conduct research and development of new AI and high‑performance computing techniques
- Prepare and preprocess large-scale datasets to ensure high-quality model inputs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including business, engineering, and design—to deliver end-to-end AI solutions
- Engage with clients to understand needs, shape AI strategy, and articulate solution value
- Mentor junior team members on AI/ML methodologies and best practices
Required Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in machine learning algorithms, model development, and computational systems
- Hands-on experience with Deep Learning and Generative AI model customization
- Experience building scalable data pipelines and working with large datasets
- Practical understanding of MLOps/DevOps for training, monitoring, and deployment
- Experience with high-performance computing or edge deployment scenarios
- Familiarity with cloud AI services (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS)
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business insights for clients
- Proven collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computational Mathematics, or related field
- Experience optimizing models for HPC or resource‑constrained devices
- Knowledge of GenAI frameworks and large language models
- Research or publication experience in AI/ML
- Experience in consulting or client-facing delivery environments
- Knowledge of causal inference, probabilistic modeling, or simulation techniques
- Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects
