Key Responsibilities

You will act as a trusted advisor to senior Business leadership, collaborating with senior stakeholders across the Business, Legal and other Corporate Functions to:

  • Assess existing portfolio and new products and service offerings and guide them to market in a legally compliant manner with appropriate risk mitigations (contractual, operational, technical) and lead up teams of Legal and other members as needed (e.g. Insurance, Tax, Finance, Responsible Business) to conduct risk analysis of new areas that the Business would like to expand into, including developing appropriate risk mitigation strategies;

  • Work with Accenture’s regulatory and compliance counsel & Government Relations to apply regulatory and compliance advice, including future-looking projections of any anticipated regulatory changes potentially impacting the business;

  • Help evaluate prospective acquisition targets on behalf of Strategy & Consulting, and shape post-merger integration strategies;

  • Play a key role in escalations and Accenture’s overall governance and risk management policies & processes; and

  • Develop and roll out training to increase expertise of Legal, and Business teams, as needed.


Knowledge Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 8 yrs. relevant experience in a corporate or law firm setting, with strong commercial, IP/IT and data compliance/governance experience and broad legal knowledge (e.g. spanning employment, litigation, corporate law and governance), and extensive experience of analysis and synthesis of complex facts and situations to achieve outcomes;

  • Experience in advising on the development and launch of new technology products, from ideation through to go-to-market, and deal shaping and innovative commercial modelling expertise;

  • Ability to develop trusted relationships with senior Business leaders, particularly for functions that have not worked extensively with Legal;

  • Strong program management and pathfinding skills, leading diverse teams to achieve defined outcomes, and ability to influence and manage multiple stakeholders and other parts of Legal to drive successful results; and

  • Experience in co-ordinating and overseeing the activities of external counsel and managing legal budget.
