Data Architect – Data & AI
About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Define end‑to‑end data architecture, including data models, storage, access, and integration patterns
- Translate business and application requirements into robust, scalable data designs
- Serve as a subject matter expert, providing advisory input and influencing architectural decisions across teams
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure data solutions align with business objectives and governance standards
- Establish and implement best practices for data management, data quality, and data governance
- Maintain comprehensive documentation covering data architecture, standards, and processes
- Conduct regular reviews and enhancements of data models to support evolving requirements
- Mentor and support team members on data architecture principles and best practices
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in data architecture within large‑scale, enterprise environments
- Proven expertise in Data & AI strategy and its application to real‑world business challenges
- Deep understanding of data architecture principles, data access patterns, and data taxonomy
- Experience working across multiple teams and influencing technical and design decisions
- Ability to design solutions that scale across programs and organizational boundaries
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data governance frameworks and regulatory‑driven environments
- Background in public sector, defence, or public safety programs
- Familiarity with modern data platforms, analytics ecosystems, and cloud‑based architectures
