Job Title: Data Engineer / Architect
Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer / Architect to design and implement robust data solutions that align with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data modeling, database design, and data integration, along with a strong understanding of data governance and architecture best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop enterprise-level data architecture, including data models, databases, and data warehouses.
- Define and enforce data standards, policies, and governance frameworks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Architect and implement data integration, ETL processes, and data pipelines.
- Ensure data quality, security, and scalability across the organization.
- Evaluate and recommend data management tools, technologies, and platforms.
- Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and scientists to support data-driven initiatives.
- Optimize database performance and troubleshoot data-related issues.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and advancements in data architecture and technologies
- Prior experience in Public Services will be ideal (optional)
- Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, stepping in to solve problems directly when needed.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role.
- Strong expertise in data modeling, database design (relational and non-relational), and data warehousing.
- Proficiency in SQL, ETL tools, and data integration technologies.
- Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
