CORE and Global Services (CGS) is a group of legal professionals working and supporting different legal areas such as Compliance, Regulatory Offerings, Ethics, Procurement, Corporate Matters and the Services Areas aligned with the new offerings and technologies such as Strategy & Consulting, Interactive, Technology, Security and Operations.
Technology: Resale Role Summary – Accenture has a Resale program under which it resells third party technology to Clients. Support Accenture’s business in performing resale transactions by providing guidance in deal-shaping and subject matter expertise on agency resale. The role requires drafting, review and negotiation of resale agreements/legal documents with Partners and Clients following Accenture’s internal policies, procedures and applicable laws.
Generic Responsibilities
- Good understanding of Legal/GLN, and Global Services area needs and priorities, strategy, objectives, and opportunities
- Good understanding of Legal and GLN
- Very good understanding of relevant company policies
- Act as a POC and escalation point for support area
- Enhance subject-matter expertise in the concerned support area
- Understand, suggest, and encourage process improvements in the support area
- Collaborate with tech team in development of new tool or enhancement of existing ones
- Ensure creation of checklists and other process documents
- Ability to represent GLN; directly liaison with internal stakeholders on various issues
- Supervise the management of SharePoint and communication records
- Identify and lead trainings for the team for upskilling and professional development
- Identify and implement new initiatives in Global Services support area or within Legal/GLN
- Build credible and effective relationships with onshore counsels and within GLN team
- Lead and drive recruitment efforts for the team
- Effective management of direct reports and team; quick conflict resolution
- Provide coaching and mentoring to junior members of the team
- Provide feedback to individuals; lead and drive talent discussions for the team
- Proactively try to ‘give back’ to GLN/Legal
Specific Responsibilities aligned to Role
- Independently draft and review and negotiate high complexity agreements and documents to be signed with partners and clients, including but not limited to Non-Disclosure agreements, Affiliate Addendums, Resale/Alliance agreements, Teaming Agreements, order forms, renewals and amendments, among others.
- Analyze and resolve high-complexity contract issues and business scenarios.
- Operate as group lead for other GLN members for day to day escalations regarding contracting issues. Act as advisor for escalations from junior members.
- Project coordination and deal shaping.
- Independently handle the communication with internal clients, business teams and stakeholders on various legal matters. Develop subject matter expertise in specific partnerships, providing guidance to different areas, as required.
- Develop a working relationship with Accenture’s most important partners, demonstrating knowledge in their specific processes.
- Maintain contract compliance in line with company policies and procedures and ensure issues are identified and resolved;
- Support deal shaping opportunities for specific high complexity deals, consulting as necessary.
- Require approvals when needed - in particular, ensuring that all stakeholders are fully informed and engaged on a timely basis with the process and associated responsibilities.
- Execute tasks with autonomy and good judgement, independently providing effective solutions to encountered complexities and providing error-free work results.
- Perform research of laws and regulations or technical aspects applicable to assigned requests.
- Lead specific ad-hoc projects, planning strategy, coordinating team members and aligning with other areas. Coordination of training sessions to the team. Organizing the onboarding and training of new joiners, ensuring the administrative processes are completed.
- Review of others’ performance, feedback and talent actions to the members of the team in charge. Manage the team’s work allocation and stakeholders’ expectations. Participate in decision making regarding headcount and suggest improvements. Organize interviews for job applicants and communicate results with the stakeholders.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law
Certifications and Membership:
- Compliance related global professional certification considered a plus
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 10 to 13 years of experience at law firm or as in-house counsel and/or in legal outsourcing
Work Requirements:
- Travel may be required
- Fluency in English (and other language, depending on geography supported) with very strong oral and written communication skills.SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Strong experience in agreement drafting, review and negotiation, identifying risks and proposing solutions.
- Experience in leading projects and teams on function specific processes and/or areas
- Has worked with internal and external teams, and understands delivery requirements
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills; detail-oriented, sound judgement, and flexible
- Demonstrate promptness, accuracy, and consistency with the activities supported

- Very good understanding of commercial agreements, legal and compliance principles

- Ability to work under pressure, with exposure to senior leadership and effectively manage stakeholder expectations
