  • Produce and maintain architecture artefacts including high-level designs, architecture documents, and governance materials
  • Lead architecture governance activities, including design reviews and Architecture Review Board (ARB) engagements
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and complete solution
  • Identify and manage technical risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies
  • Contribute to and validate non-functional requirements (NFRs) including performance, scalability, resilience, and security
  • Support delivery teams by providing architectural guidance and ensuring alignment with the overall design
  • Represent architecture and design decisions in internal and external forums, including senior stakeholder discussions and vendor engagements
  • Support service transition activities by ensuring completeness of design documentation and operational readiness

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience as a Solution Architect within enterprise environments, ideally in financial services
  • Proven ability to define and deliver end-to-end architecture for large-scale, complex programmes
  • Experience working across multi-platform environments, including cloud, legacy, and distributed systems
  • Strong understanding of integration patterns, system design, and data flows
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and hybrid architectures
  • Strong knowledge of architecture governance, design documentation, and security principles
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient solutions
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working in retail banking or large enterprise environments
  • Exposure to core systems, digital transformation, or large-scale modernisation programmes
  • Experience leading architecture within Agile delivery environments
  • Familiarity with high-availability and high-throughput enterprise systems
