In the role of Custom Software Engineering Lead, a typical day involves overseeing the technical direction and architectural design of custom software solutions. This includes guiding teams through the entire development lifecycle, from initial design concepts to final delivery. The role requires setting and maintaining development standards to ensure that the software is scalable, performs efficiently, and aligns closely with the strategic goals of the business. Collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and adherence to quality benchmarks is a key aspect of daily activities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the establishment and enforcement of coding standards and best practices to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination among cross-functional teams to drive project success.
- Mentor and support junior team members to foster professional growth and enhance team capabilities.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Oracle Planning and Budgeting (EPBCS).
- Strong expertise in software architecture design and implementation for custom solutions.
- Experience in managing software development lifecycles with a focus on scalability and performance optimization.
- Ability to lead technical teams and coordinate across multiple groups to achieve project objectives.
- Familiarity with best practices in code quality assurance, including code reviews and automated testing.
- Skilled in problem-solving and providing innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Oracle Planning and Budgeting (EPBCS).
- A 15 years full time education is required.
