Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, you will engage in the development of custom software solutions that involve designing, coding, and enhancing various components across systems or applications. Your typical day will include collaborating with team members to utilize modern frameworks and agile practices, ensuring the delivery of scalable and high-performing solutions that are tailored to meet specific business needs. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and optimizing existing software components to improve functionality and performance, while continuously seeking opportunities for innovation and improvement in the software development process.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and enhance test scripts for TCU validation using Java-based automation frameworks (ET Framework or similar).
Collaborate with firmware and system engineers to understand requirements and translate them into test cases.
Execute automated test scripts, analyze results, and report defects with clear documentation.
Contribute to continuous integration efforts for automated testing.
Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and deliver timely updates on task progress.
Support team in debugging test bench issues or inconsistencies in results

Professional & Technical Skills:
Proficient in Java (Object-Oriented Programming, Collections, File I/O, etc.)
Java with Spring Boot having Microservices Background.
Familiarity with Apache Flink/Apache Kafka/Azure Eventhubs, AKS/EKS, Docker/Kubernetes, Datadog/Grafana/Prometheus/Splunk, Terraform
Familiarity with dependency injection, annotations, configuration properties, and Spring test utilities.
Practical experience with Spring Framework for building and structuring automation components.
Experience in developing test automation and REST API validation using Java.
Strong hands-on experience in Java (8 or above), with good knowledge of OOP principles, exception handling, multithreading, and collections framework.
Proficient in writing unit tests using JUnit and mocking frameworks like Mockito.
Knowledge of automotive communication protocols or embedded systems testing is a plus.
Familiarity with version control tools like Git/ GitLab
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Good verbal and written communication.
Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
Attention to detail and ownership of assigned modules.
Exposure to ET Framework or other proprietary test frameworks.
Understanding of TCU or connected vehicle technologies.
Automotive domain experience.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Java Full Stack Development.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
