Role Description
A Research Group Manager at Accenture Technology Labs, brings with her/his team value-innovation to Accenture’s customers and to the cybersecurity community, tackling emerging and future cybersecurity challenges in the spaces of, but not limited to, DevSecOps containers and applications, IoT vulnerability discovery, insider threat and user behavior analytics, intrusion detection and management, forensic and privacy.
As a hands-on subject matter professional and a leader, the group manager collaborates with, and acts as a bridge between, Accenture global security practice, academia researchers, and the cybersecurity startup community.
The hands-on manager mission is to personally invent and innovate, as well as lead a group that implements first-of-a-kind cybersecurity technologies to be delivered to Accenture’s customers by Accenture’s security practice.
The manager personal and her/his group research results in the form of working prototypes, patents, proof of concepts, authored papers and blogs, and other demonstrable artefacts, are aimed at solving customer’s problems as well as be presented at academic or commercial conferences.
Reporting to Accenture Labs’ Managing Director, and as a thought leader, the group manager is also responsible for advising clients on emerging security concepts and strategy for addressing their security challenges, as well as heavily participate in client’s workshops and public conferences.
The manager is also expected to apply to research grants from Accenture internal business units and external funding organizations such as customers and government funds such as the EU.
Managing and driving her/his group research and projects agenda from inception to delivery, the manager mission is to transfer the research results to the engineering organization for further maturing, whilst creating with customers a thought leadership buzz on cybersecurity.
Basic Requirements
  Master of Science or PhD in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Data Sciences, with research thesis
•  Proven tenure and experience in developing cybersecurity technologies, as well as with security operations with at least 2 years of recent experience with clients/military environments
•  Proven tenure and experience developing in Python and/or Java over NoSQL DB, in a Cloud environment
•  Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills in English
•  Superb people skills and proven experience in structuring technology projects and leading research/development teams in a global distributed environment
•  Experience and desire to develop demonstrable proof-of-concepts created with new technologies, integration or organic innovation.
•  Proven ability of self-education and rapid learning of new technologies
•  Location: Herzelia, Israel
Preferred Skills
•  Machine Learning and Deep Learning knowledge and experience, preferred Python over TensorFlow

•  Published papers in academic journals or conferences
