Accenture’s Transaction Advisory team supports Private Equity (PE) and Corporate clients across the entire deal lifecycle — from diligence and deal execution to integration, separation, and portfolio value creation.

Our M&A SAP team focuses on enabling seamless IT and operations transitions through deep expertise in ERP transitions and business process continuity across the deal lifecycle. By ensuring structured process design and cross-system alignment, the team plays a critical role in safeguarding value during deals and large-scale transformations.

What You’ll Do?:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver SAP-led transformation programs in M&A and large-scale ERP transition contexts including:
    • S/4HANA transitions.
    • S/4HANA migration to alternate ERP platforms (e.g., Workday, Microsoft D365, other ERP ecosystems).
    • SAP Greenfield and Brownfield stand-ups for post deal operating model enablement.
  • Drive functional process design and transition planning across the following process towers:
    • Primary: S2P, O2C, R2R and FI/CO.
    • Secondary: A2D, P2M, DM and MD.
    • Tertiary: GTS, Foreign Trade, Labeling, Product Compliance.
  • Assess process implications of carve-outs, integrations, and ERP transitions across finance, supply chain, procurement, and HR value chains in ERP and adjacent systems.

Additional Responsibilities (Good to have skillsets):

  • Support deal-related work where applicable:
    • Pre-Deal: Operational / process due diligence, SAP landscape assessment, process complexity evaluation, separation readiness assessment.
    • Deal Planning & Execution: Functional carve-out planning, Day 1 ERP readiness, TSA scoping and exit planning.
    • Post-Deal: ERP integration / separation execution, process harmonization, data migration planning.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership (CIO, CTO) and business stakeholders to define ERP transition roadmaps.
  • Support proposals, client presentations, and thought capital on SAP-led M&A and transformation programs.

Role-Specific Expectations:

  • Functional Expertise (Must-Have): Strong functional knowledge across core SAP process areas — S2P, O2C, R2R, and FI/CO. Ability to understand end-to-end process flows and upstream / downstream impacts during carve-outs and integrations.
  • Workstream Ownership: Lead individual workstreams, manage timelines, coordinate with technical teams, and ensure quality outputs in client engagements.
  • Engagement Support: Develop client decks, support RFPs, and contribute to knowledge sharing within the practice.
  • M&A Exposure (Good to Have): Prior involvement in SAP carve-outs, Day 1 readiness planning, Day 2 enablement, or carve-out/integration execution is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Exposure to other ERP platforms such as Oracle and MS Dynamics (Good to Have).
  • Certifications (Good to Have): Agile (Kanban, SAFe, Scrum) / ACTIVATE methodology.

Why Join Us?:

  • Work on some of the most strategic global deals, with a focus on SAP-led M&A and ERP transformation.
  • Apply deep ERP expertise while gaining exposure to M&A programs.
  • Collaborate with global account teams and functional experts across industries.
  • Build your career in a high-growth, entrepreneurial practice with access to world-class learning.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong functional understanding of SAP S/4HANA processes — especially S2P, O2C, R2R, and FI/CO.
  • Experience in ERP transition, carve-out, integration, or Greenfield SAP stand-up programs.
  • Ability to evaluate process implications, data dependencies, and cross-system integrations.
  • Structured problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Client-facing experience, including workshops, process walkthroughs, and senior stakeholder presentations.
