Internship details
Period ~6 months (flexible, minimum of 4 months)
Hours a week 40
Location Industrial Design Center in Eindhoven and/or The Hague (100% on-site)
Start date 1st of each month
Role UX designer with strong aesthetic design skills with interest in product design, phygital experiences and smart and connected products. All other roles are filled!

The work
Industry X is one of five services that make up one Accenture – the others are Strategy & Consulting, Technology, Song and Operations. At Industry X (IX) we work in the world of Research & Development, Product Design & Engineering, Connected Devices, Manufacturing & Operations or Smart Services.
Team(s)
In general, IX is a diverse and dynamic team of innovators, visionaries, and problem solvers in the fields of Industrial Design, Engineering and Manufacturing.
Part of Industry X is IX Industrial design, a group of more than 30 creatives, including industrial designers, design engineers, UX/digital designers, strategists, researchers, developers, and project managers. Here both physical products and digital experiences are designed, creating innovative solutions that seamlessly connect both worlds. Through proof of concepts and prototyping, ideas are iterated upon and refined into scalable solutions that inspire confident decision making.
Daily tasks and Requirements
You will work on a variety of projects across our two domains, Industrial Medtech & High-tech, and Consumer Goods & Services.
You’ll be part of our group of more than 30 creatives, including industrial designers, design engineers, UX/digital designers, strategists, researchers, developers, and project managers.
We are based in Eindhoven and The Hague, and work closely together between both studio spaces. You will work from one office, traveling to the other office occasionally.
You will get a dedicated mentor to help you define your learning goals and find the projects that suit you and your goals best.
Daily tasks:
Participate in creative/brainstorm workshops
Analyzing and crafting user journeys
Gathering insights and conducting market- and stakeholder research
Building (digital) prototypes and wireframes
Design digital interfaces and experiences
Qualification
Here’s what you’ll need
A hands-on can-do attitude
Ability to develop and create wireframes and user flows
Strong aesthetic skills in interface design and graphics
Experience with Figma
Affinity with product design, phygital experiences and smart and connected products.
Bonus points if you have experience in web development prototyping
Proficiency in English
A portfolio of your work showcasing the process, what excites you and the skills you bring.
You are enrolled at a university during the entire length of the internship, pursuing a degree in Design for Interaction, Industrial Design, Digital Design, Multimedia Design, or similar.
You are an EU citizen or enrolled at a Dutch university.
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE
Have experience in design research, both qualitative and quantitative approaches.
Have interest in storytelling and how to present back key insights and knowledge to designers and clients.
Interest in navigating complexity and enjoy solving systemic problems.
Service and holistic design methodology knowledge.
