Key responsibilities
•    Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for systems and applications.
•    Conduct detailed analysis of insurance processes, including policy administration, claims processing, underwriting, and billing, to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
•    Work closely with technical teams to ensure requirements are translated into effective solutions.
•    Develop and maintain functional specifications, use cases, and process flow diagrams specific to insurance workflows.
•    Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
•    Perform gap analysis between current and desired states of systems.
•    Support testing efforts by creating test cases, validating results, and ensuring alignment with business requirements.
•    Provide training and support to end-users on new or updated functionalities.
•    Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders and management.

Qualifications

Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
•    Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in Mainframe projects within the insurance industry.
•    Strong understanding of Mainframe technologies, including COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.
•    In-depth knowledge of insurance processes, including policy administration, claims, underwriting, and billing systems.
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Proficiency in business process modeling and documentation tools.
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with stakeholders and technical teams.
•    Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.

•    Excellent Finnish and English skills (mandatory)
•    You are resident in Finland (mandatory)

Preferred Skills
•    Experience with tools like IBM Rational, HP ALM, or similar.
•    Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the insurance industry.
•    Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is a plus.
•    Familiarity with insurance-specific software and platforms.
