Infrastructure & Capital Projects – Resident Engineer, ANS
THE WORK:
- You’ll ensure the safety of Accenture and Client employees, State employees, Contractor employees, and the traveling public by observing contractor operations and traffic conditions, making recommendations, and taking corrective action when necessary.
- You’ll review contractor operations for compliance with CAL OSHA regulations.
- You’ll provide direction to staff to ensure that complete, accurate, and timely contract records—pertaining to construction progress, job expenditures, budget programs, and work order balances—are maintained in accordance with State and Federal regulations and laws.
- You’ll confer with contractors regarding compliance with plans, quality of work, and construction activity.
- You’ll perform field inspections of contractor work to determine compliance with plans, specifications, special provisions, utility agreements, and related requirements.
- You’ll prepare reports, as well as review and incorporate daily inspection reports from Field Inspectors, to document the contractor’s activities.
- You’ll maintain accurate and complete project records and ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
- You’ll calculate and document field quantities for payment purposes.
- You’ll document the as-built condition of the constructed facility.
- You’ll monitor the project schedule and budget, and report as required to executive leadership.
- You’ll assist Accenture in managing the project to maintain quality, schedule, and budget.
- You’ll prepare contract change orders for making alterations, deviations, additions, or deletions to the plans and specifications to ensure proper completion or construction of the contract.
- You’ll formulate, research, and develop solutions for field conditions that necessitate a contract change order, which may include performing any necessary engineering redesign work.
- You’ll identify the need for and prepare contract-related documents for submission to the contractor.
- You’ll review CPM schedules and identify and mitigate project risks.
- You’ll complete a daily project diary of pertinent activities and discussions held regarding the progress of the contractor’s work and interactions with the Project/Construction Manager.
- You’ll assist Accenture and the Client in resolving and responding to contractor disputes in a timely manner as provided by the contract.
- You’ll prepare draft claim reports for Client Vendor/Contract Management when required.
- You’ll ensure that inspection, testing, and other quality activities are performed in accordance with the Client’s Quality Management Plan (QMP).
- You’ll ensure conformance with all Client contract documents.
- You’ll perform constructability reviews and provide comments on design packages.
- Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.

$175,000 - $250,000 a year
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or another related field
- Registration as a Professional Engineer in California
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience in Construction Management on transit projects of at least $30 million.
- Minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience in the management of major, construction contracts of similar size and scope
- Valid California Class C driver’s license
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- Experience with EV charging infrastructure projects is a plus, but not required
- Contractor experience (Project Manager, Superintendent, Engineer) desirable
