Role Summary
The JDE RTR Analyst is responsible for supporting Record-to-Report (RTR) processes within Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, with a focus on General Ledger accounting, reconciliations, cost accounting, and period close support. The role ensures accurate financial postings, timely close activities, and compliance with accounting and audit requirements.
Key Responsibilities
General Ledger (GL) Accounting
Support GL journal entry creation, validation, and posting in JD Edwards.
Ensure accurate accounting of business transactions in line with accounting policies.
Assist with GL account analysis and maintenance.
Reconciliation Activities
Perform GL and sub-ledger reconciliations (AP, AR, Inventory, Manufacturing).
Identify, analyze, and resolve reconciliation differences.
Support preparation of reconciliation schedules and supporting documentation.
Cost Accounting Support
Support cost accounting processes, including inventory valuation and manufacturing cost postings.
Assist in analyzing cost variances and production-related accounting entries.
Coordinate with PTF / manufacturing teams on cost and inventory accounting issues.
Period Close Support
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
Ensure timely posting of journals and resolution of open items before close.
Assist finance teams during close cycles and audit support activities.
Functional Support & Compliance
Provide L2/L3 functional support for RTR-related issues in JD Edwards.
Perform root-cause analysis and work with technical teams for fixes or enhancements.
Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOX/audit requirements, and standard procedures.
Required Skills & Experience
Core Functional Skills
3–4 years of hands-on experience in Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne RTR.
Strong working knowledge of:
General Ledger (GL) Entries
Account Reconciliations
Cost Accounting
Financial Close Support
Experience supporting RTR processes in ERP environments.
ERP Knowledge
Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne functional expertise in Finance modules.
Understanding of the end-to-end Record-to-Report lifecycle.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills to work with finance and cross-functional teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities during close periods.
Good to Have
Experience in ERP AMS or finance support projects.
Exposure to inventory or manufacturing accounting.
Basic understanding of financial controls and audit processes.
