Summary:
The Senior Healthcare Integration Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and supporting secure interoperability solutions between Innovaccer and EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks and other clinical platforms. This role ensures reliable API connectivity, accurate data mapping, and compliant exchange of healthcare data to support analytics, population health, and care coordination initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain integrations using:
o FHIR (R4 preferred)
o HL7 v2.x (ADT, ORU, SIU, etc.)
o RESTful APIs (JSON/XML)
Configure and manage OAuth2 / SMART on FHIR authentication . Develop and maintain patient, encounter, medication, diagnosis, lab, and claims data mappings
Troubleshoot API failures, data discrepancies, and interface issues. Support bidirectional integrations (including write-back where applicable)
Monitor integration performance and ensure data freshness SLAs. Collaborate with EHR vendor technical teams and internal data/analytics teams
Maintain technical documentation and integration runbooks. Ensure HIPAA-compliant handling of PHI
