DataBricks Engineer
About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement infrastructure to support large‑scale training and inference of generative AI models
- Design and optimize platform infrastructure for performance, scalability, consumption, and cost efficiency
- Evaluate infrastructure options and contribute to technology and vendor recommendations
- Develop operational controls, monitoring, and observability solutions for generative AI platforms
- Implement control towers to monitor platform health, usage, and operational performance
- Work independently on assigned tasks while actively contributing to team discussions and solution design
- Identify and propose improvements to platform reliability, efficiency, and usability
- Stay current with advancements in Databricks and generative AI infrastructure best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data, or a related field
- Advanced proficiency with the Databricks Platform
- Strong foundation in data processing concepts and practices
- At least 1 year of experience in relevant data or platform engineering roles (including internships or project work)
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in Data Engineering
- Experience building and managing data pipelines
- Hands‑on experience with Databricks SQL
- Exposure to Databricks administration tasks
- Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure concepts
