Summary:
As a Microsoft Fabric Architect, you will be responsible for defining, designing, and governing enterprise-scale analytics architectures using Microsoft Fabric. You will lead solution architecture across projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, data strategy, security, and governance standards. Your role involves overseeing end-to-end Fabric solution design, guiding teams on implementation best practices, and making key technical decisions. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders, manage delivery risks, mentor team leads, and ensure that analytics platforms are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance and cost.
Roles & Responsibilities: -
Act as the Fabric Architecture Lead and SME across multiple projects or programs.
Define end-to-end Microsoft Fabric architecture including workspace strategy, OneLake design, and workload separation.
Analyze business, data, and non-functional requirements and translate them into architecture and design blueprints aligned with Fabric best practices.
Design scalable data ingestion, transformation, serving, and consumption architectures using Fabric Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Power BI.
Establish and govern medallion architecture standards (Bronze, Silver, Gold) across teams.
Define data modeling strategies, semantic layer design, and Power BI dataset standards for enterprise reporting.
Ensure data security, privacy, and governance through RBAC, RLS, sensitivity labels, lineage, and auditing.
Review solution designs, code, and deployments to ensure adherence to architectural standards.
Drive performance optimization, capacity planning, and cost governance for Fabric workloads.
Collaborate with enterprise architects, security teams, and business stakeholders on key design decisions.
Mentor and guide Team Leads and senior engineers enable technical upskilling across teams.
Provide architectural support during production issues, RCA, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Professional & Technical Skills: - Must-Have Skills with Microsoft Fabric as listed below
Strong hands-on and architectural experience with Microsoft Fabric, including:
o OneLake architecture and workspace design
o Lakehouse and Warehouse architecture patterns
o Fabric Data Factory pipelines and Dataflows Gen2

Advanced expertise in SQL for data modeling, performance tuning, and analytics workloads.
Strong working knowledge of Spark architecture, PySpark, and Spark SQL optimization.
Deep understanding of enterprise data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and SCD patterns.
Expertise in Power BI semantic modeling, DAX fundamentals, Direct Lake concepts, and performance tuning.
Strong knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance within Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
Experience defining CI/CD and deployment standards for Fabric artifacts using Git-based workflows.
Ability to evaluate trade-offs across scalability, performance, cost, and maintainability.

Additional Information: -
The candidate should have 9–12 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or BI platforms with architecture ownership.
This position is based at our Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad office.
Minimum 15 years of full-time education (or equivalent).
Responsible for architecture governance across multiple teams or projects.
Drives standardization, reusability, and platform maturity.
Accountable for ensuring high-quality, secure, and scalable Fabric solutions.
