You Are:

You are a retail media strategist who reads the industry the way traders read markets: constantly, critically, and with a clear point of view. You track emerging ad tech platforms, follow shifts in retailer monetization models, and translate what you observe into actionable strategy for clients and internal teams. You do not wait for others to define what is next in retail media. You define it.

You are a connector. You link market intelligence to business development opportunity, client needs to ecosystem partnerships, and internal capability to external demand. You build relationships with platform vendors, measurement companies, data providers, and industry bodies not because your role requires it, but because staying embedded in the ecosystem is how you stay useful.

The Job:

As Retail Media Ecosystem & Solutions Leader, you will serve as the market intelligence, ecosystem strategy, and solutions development engine within the commerce media industry. You will track the ad tech landscape, identify emerging opportunities for growth, and translate your knowledge of the market into client-facing strategies, partnership recommendations, and new business development.

You will strategize any external market positioning, build and maintain relationships across the retail media ecosystem, and work directly with Sales, Product, and Delivery leaders to shape solutions that win and scale.

This role spans market intelligence, ecosystem partnership, solutions architecture, and business development. It requires someone who can operate with equal effectiveness in a client pitch and a vendor strategy session, and who takes personal accountability for connecting external insight to internal growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and synthesize developments across the retail media ad tech landscape including DSPs, SSPs, clean room platforms, measurement vendors, identity solutions, and data marketplace providers

  • Maintain a current, structured view of the competitive RMN landscape including Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, Kroger Precision Marketing, Target Roundel, and emerging independent networks

  • Develop and publish internal points of view on market trends, platform shifts, and emerging monetization models that inform business development strategy and client advisory work

  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize ecosystem partnership opportunities across ad tech vendors, data providers, and measurement companies

  • Lead ecosystem partner relationship development, managing joint solution narratives and go-to-market collaboration with strategic vendors

  • Shape RMN solution offerings by connecting client business needs with internal capabilities and external partner technology

  • Support business development by identifying whitespace opportunities within existing client accounts and net-new targets across the retailer and brand advertiser landscape

  • Serve as a senior client advisor on retail media strategy, ecosystem navigation, and platform selection

  • Collaborate with Product, Data, and Engineering leads to ensure the solutions narrative stays aligned with actual platform capability and roadmap direction

Must Have:

  • 8+ years of experience in retail media, ad tech, or digital media with direct exposure to RMN platforms, programmatic infrastructure, or commerce media strategy

  • 5+ years of experience originating or materially contributing to new business development in a client services, consulting, or media solutions environment

  • 5+ years of experience managing or advising senior client stakeholders at the VP or C-suite level

Nice to Have:

  • Deep knowledge of the retail media technology stack including ad serving, DSP/SSP integrations, clean rooms, identity resolution, and measurement and attribution frameworks

  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex market dynamics into clear strategic recommendations

  • Strong understanding of first-party data strategy, audience monetization, and closed-loop measurement from the retailer perspective

  • Experience working across product, engineering, or data teams with enough technical fluency to shape solutions and evaluate vendor capabilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to calibrate your message for brand marketers, technologists, and executive stakeholders

  • Prior experience inside a Retail Media Network at a major retailer or independent network operator

  • Existing relationships with ad tech platform vendors, data providers, or measurement companies active in the retail media space

  • Familiarity with RMN platforms such as Criteo Retail Media, Epsilon Retail Media, CitrusAd, Kevel, or Microsoft PromoteIQ

  • Experience with commerce media formats beyond on-site display including CTV, DOOH, offsite programmatic, and social commerce

  • Active presence in the retail media industry through speaking engagements, published writing, or advisory roles

  • Familiarity with IAB and IAB Tech Lab retail media measurement standards and clean room interoperability frameworks

  • Experience in a consulting, systems integration, or managed services environment
