Summary:
In the role of Custom Software Engineering Lead, a typical day involves overseeing the technical vision and architectural framework of bespoke software projects. This position requires guiding teams through the entire lifecycle of design and implementation, ensuring that development practices meet high standards. The role demands continuous alignment of software solutions with organizational goals, focusing on scalability and performance. Collaboration with various stakeholders to maintain a cohesive technical strategy and fostering an environment that supports innovation and quality are key aspects of daily responsibilities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Capable of owning and independently handling FO configuration / development, pricing & simulation issue handling, and pre trade controls for Treasury and Capital Markets businesses.
- The role demands deep functional understanding of FX, IRD, and other Capital Markets products, along with strong problem solving capability in pricing, booking, and market data flows.
- Murex FO SME who can independently own FO configuration and simulation stability, while partnering closely with business and technology stakeholders.
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the establishment and enforcement of development standards to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination among cross-functional teams to drive project success.
- Mentor and support junior team members to enhance their skills and professional growth.
- Continuously evaluate and improve software development processes to optimize efficiency and delivery.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Must to Have skills: Proficiency in Murex Front Office Finance.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with Murex Environment and Configuration Management.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture principles and best practices in custom software development.
- Ability to design scalable and high-performance software solutions aligned with business needs.
- Experience in leading technical teams and managing complex software projects.
- Familiarity with code quality assurance techniques and performance optimization strategies.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 8+yrs hands on experience in Murex Front Office Finance module.
This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
