Summary:
As an Infrastructure Engineer, a typical day involves supporting the definition of requirements and contributing to the design and construction of data center technology components. The role includes active participation in testing activities to ensure the reliability and performance of infrastructure solutions. This position requires close collaboration with various teams to align technology implementations with organizational goals, ensuring seamless integration and operational efficiency within the data center environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to optimize infrastructure processes and improve system performance.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team to enhance overall capabilities.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of infrastructure initiatives with business objectives.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in IBM AS /400 Administration.
- Experience in managing and maintaining enterprise-level IBM AS /400 systems to ensure high availability and performance.
- Strong troubleshooting skills related to hardware, software, and network issues within IBM AS /400 environments.
- Knowledge of system security practices and disaster recovery procedures specific to IBM AS /400 platforms.
- Ability to automate routine tasks and optimize system operations using scripting and relevant tools.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in IBM AS /400 Administration.
- This position is based at our Gurugram office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
