Gender Equality

Working to accelerate equality for all

With the world at this critical juncture, our commitment to making a positive difference together has never been stronger.

The strengths of every team member are needed

2021 marks the 17th year Accenture celebrates International Women’s Day – an opportunity for us to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of women around the world and engage in open, honest and meaningful conversations to further advance a culture of equality.

This year, our people around the globe are taking positive action by making personal commitments to help accelerate equality for all.

We have bold goals in place and continue to build on our progress but we need your help to achieve them. What will you do to accelerate equality for all?

We believe the future workforce is an equal one and set bold goals to accelerate gender equality. Today, more than 250,000 women work at Accenture. Additionally, 50% of our board of directors and 27% of our global management committee are women.

"We are convinced that gender equality is essential for a high-performing and innovation-oriented organization. By 2025, we therefore aim to achieve a gender-balanced workforce that is equally balanced between men and women, while providing an environment that is free of discrimination for those whose gender is not binary."

Diversity boosts Innovation: International Women´s Day März 2018

We know that the COVID-19 pandemic has had a massive impact on gender equality. Not only has it resulted in less income and less work for women, widening the gender gap when it comes to job security, it could actually extend the time to gender equality by 51 years – from 2120 to 2171.

Accenture Research collaborated with the W20 to produce, If Not Now, When? a report that details the unequal impact of COVID-19 on women, and the role that businesses and governments must now play for society to continue its progress towards gender equality.
