We’ve pulled together a list of resources to help you skill up quickly, when and where you want to learn. From lectures and webinars to interactive labs and discussion forums, many courses are self-paced or flexible, and most are free or inexpensive. They all offer ways to learn the most cutting-edge skills and industry trends from experts and thought leaders across the globe.
Alison – Offers to build your knowledge and workplace skills training in IT, business, marketing and more. Courses are free, although you can purchase a certificate after completing a course.
Aquent Gymnasium – Offers “free courses, practical skills, unlimited potential.” The courses really are free, and they offer “Gym Shorts,” condensed versions of important topics. Areas covered include web design, coding and user experience.
Coursera – Courses are online, open to everyone and reasonably priced. It offers mobile learning through apps, and you can earn course certificates. Many of the world’s top universities offer courses on Coursera, covering topics like machine learning and digital marketing.
EdX – Free courses are offered by top universities like Harvard and MIT, as well as major corporations such as Microsoft. Certificates are available for purchase after completing a course. Courses run the gamut from big data or social media marketing to CRM or digital marketing.
General Assembly – Offers full-time, part-time and flexible online courses and workshops. All are offered for a fee, but payment plans and financing options are available. Learning options for the hottest topics can be found here, including coding, UX and digital marketing.
Google Analytics Academy offers free courses and certification in intelligent data collection and analysis.
Lynda – Part of LinkedIn, Lynda offers unlimited learning opportunities on a wide variety of business and technology subjects. Lynda offers a free trial and reasonably priced monthly plans.
Microsoft Virtual Academy – Gain free Microsoft training delivered by industry experts.
Udacity – Earn Nanodegrees by taking courses developed with the world’s most forward-thinking companies. The Nanodegree Plus program even offers a job guarantee within six months of graduation. Options include courses on machine learning, artificial intelligence and more.
Udemy – More than 50,000 courses are available through “the world’s largest online learning marketplace.” Build skills in business, tech or pursue personal development opportunities.
