About Kelly

Kelly Bissell leads Accenture Security, where he oversees the full spectrum of security services including advanced cyber defense, applied cybersecurity solutions and managed security services. He is a member of Accenture’s Global Management Committee.

Since joining Accenture in 2016, Kelly has played a key role in driving the growth of Accenture Security to an approximately $3 billion business as of fiscal 2020. With more than 25 years of security experience, Kelly specializes in board advisory, cybersecurity strategy and cyber crisis management.

Before joining Accenture, Kelly was a principal and global lead of the cyber risk services practice at Deloitte, where he spent 14 years. Earlier in his career, he held various senior IT strategy and engineering positions with Arthur Andersen, BellSouth and other corporations. Between 1999 and 2001, he was co-founder and chief information officer of MeritSpan Holdings, a B2B e-commerce portal. In the late 1990s, he worked with the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF and OASIS) to help create the Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6), by which much of the internet runs.

Kelly is a passionate advocate for gender equality in the workplace and leads cybersecurity-related inclusion and diversity initiatives. Kelly serves on the World Economic Forum Centre for Cybersecurity Advisory Board. He also volunteers at the Atlanta Community Food Bank to help reduce hunger.

Kelly holds a bachelor’s degree from DeVry University and a master’s degree in business administration from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.
