Chief Strategic Accounts & Global Sales Officer
John Walsh is Accenture’s chief strategic accounts and global sales officer, responsible for building and growing relationships with some of the worlds’ largest companies across the globe. He is also a member of Accenture’s Global Management Committee.
John has more than 30 years of experience providing strategic planning, operations management, IT and BPO services to many of the world’s leading Communications, Media & Technology (CMT) companies. Prior to being named to his current role in March 2020, John led Accenture’s CMT group globally and regionally for North America, where he set the vision and strategy for sales and revenue growth, as well as overall client relationship management across the high tech, media & entertainment, telecommunications and aerospace & defense industries. Prior to that, John managed Accenture’s West Coast P&L for the CMT sector where he established one of Accenture’s largest and most dynamic practices. He also served for several years as Accenture’s office managing director for Northern California (San Francisco, San Jose, Sacramento).
John serves as a director on several boards, including: Vlocity, one of Silicon Valley’s leading Cloud Unicorns built on SFDC’s platform; Adchemy, acquired by Walmart in 2014; and the Churchill Club, one of Silicon Valley’s most prominent non-profit organizations.
John joined Accenture in 1986 and became a partner in 1998. He graduated from Accenture’s executive management program at the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Switzerland and completed undergraduate studies at Iowa State University.
