BRATISLAVA, Slovakia and BUDAPEST, Hungary; May 04, 2018 – Accenture has named Tomas Volek as country managing director for Slovakia and Hungary, effective May 1. In this role he leads Accenture’s business and operation in the countries, with a specific focus on growth by innovation and digital transformation. Tomas succeeds Peter Skodny, who left Accenture at the end of April.

Tomas, 49, will also continue leading Accenture’s Advanced Technology Centers in Slovakia, Hungary and Romania, whose more than 1,500 employees provide technology services and digital capabilities to Accenture clients worldwide.

Since joining Accenture in 1995, Tomas has served as an SAP expert and worked on several large systems integration projects across a wide variety of industries in Western and Eastern Europe, Russia, Turkey and India. In 2003 he set up the Bratislava Delivery Center for Technology, taking on the role of delivery center lead in 2012.

Tomas holds a master’s degree in electronics from Hull University in the U.K. and an engineering degree from Czech Technical University in Prague.
