MORE THAN THREE-QUARTERS OF SURVEY RESPONDENTS ARE SEEING THREE OR MORE BUSINESS BENEFITS AS A RESULT OF PUBLIC CLOUD DEPLOYMENTS.
A survey of global businesses, conducted by IDG Research and sponsored by Accenture, showed that heavy adopters of public cloud report multiple quantifiable benefits.
In addition, whereas the cloud used to raise security concerns, the opposite is now true. Improved security is one of the top-three drivers for cloud migration today, and nearly three in four trust that cloud-based data is secure.
Operating more efficiently than lower adopters
Using smarter data and making a profit
Higher levels of customer satisfaction than lower adopters
In 2016, 50+ percent of companies said security
was a significant barrier to adoption, a year later
the same number cite security as a reason
for adoption.
Other drivers for large businesses include
monetizing data, increasing revenues and
speed of innovation and time to market.
Companies are increasingly turning to ecosystem partners to help them source talent critical to successful Cloud deployment.
