Sandy Mohonathan, HR Associate Director, Accenture – Middle East, Africa, Russia & Turkey. Mohonathan assumed these positions in 2013, after heading up HR for one of Accenture’s Diamond client accounts in the United States.
Mohonathan is passionate about developing human potential and is known for her professionalism, commitment to mentoring, and deep understanding of the impact of human talent on organisational growth and success. Her passion lies in creating the right employee value proposition to attract, develop, grow and retain the best talent for Accenture and its clients.
Mohonathan holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and a higher diploma in HR from the Institute for People Management. She has also completed various courses in HR leadership and business alignment, and holds a master’s certificate in HR.
Mohonathan has been with Accenture since 1996, occupying a range of positions in HR—aside from a two-year interlude, when she was the HR head of a blue-chip technology company.
Mohonathan is an active member of the Institute of Personnel Management in South Africa. She is also an HR advisor to the World HRD Congress and the Department of Human Resources at the University of Johannesburg. In addition, she chairs the Executive’s Global Network (EGN) Human Resources Director Forum and coaches various EGN chairs. She has been recognised for her leadership by various international HR organisations.
Mohonathan remains committed to mentoring the next generation of HR professionals. She is an avid reader and scrapbooker. Happily married with two children, Mohonathan believes she is able to balance her personal and professional life by understanding what gives her joy and investing her time accordingly.
