You will work in the Technology Strategy & Advisory unit, helping clients in our focus industries to shape, architect and deliver exceptional value from technology. As an executive in this unit, you help CIOs, CTOs and the rest of the C-suite envision their technology target states and execute on their digital and technology-driven, value-led business transformation journeys.
An Enterprise Architect (EA) owns the EA agenda within the Technology Strategy and Advisory practice. The EA manager has the responsibility of driving opportunities for select clients, carry discussions regarding all facets of EA business internally within Accenture and with perspective clients. You should have experience in selling and/or delivering EA programs. You will be providing the highest level of consultative support on Enterprise Architecture domains namely, Business, data, application, and technology architectures and will include liaising with cloud practitioners to facilitate consultative services for cloud Enterprise Architectures.
The EA Manager is expected to liaise with other senior leadership throughout the Accenture practice to establish collateral/material that can be leveraged in discussions and strategic initiatives for perspective C-Suite clients and progress Accenture South Africans Enterprise Architecture offerings.
What will you do?
- Define Enterprise Architecture roadmaps, Industry functional solutions and advise clients on Architecture related advancements within the industry.
- Drive creation of Enterprise Architecture Communities of Practice and establish architecture forums with C-suite members of client organisations.
- Recommend the target dispositions for the client’s landscape.
- Advise on how architecture and the establishment of Enterprise Architecture capabilities can help bridge the Gap between IT and Business and provide the oversight business needs to make tactical decisions regarding their IT landscapes.
- Lead engagements or stream of work end-to-end across all delivery components: client satisfaction, value delivered, teams management, financials, etc.
- Identify and nurture pull-through business opportunities, support business development efforts with client and Accenture teams until successful sale closure.
- Collaborate with clients, ecosystem partners, and within Accenture to align their business and technology priorities.
- Lead creation of thought leadership and assets that present action-oriented insights, knowledge, guidance, and recommendations related Enterprise Architecture.
- Interaction with senior management at a client and/or Accenture to steer recommendations and obtain buy-in on matters that may require an alternate approach.
Who and what are we looking for?
Key Skills:
- Ability to operate cross-industry within the remit of Enterprise Architecture.
- Experience in Integration Architecture advisory and/or implementation.
- Define API standards and best practices for integrations
- A solid understanding and experience of Azure Integration Services (API management, Logic Apps, Azure Functions)
- Previous experience in enterprise integration platforms
- Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
- Strong data-driven consulting with a focus on business and technology value architecting and realization.
- Ability to act independently to determine methods and procedures on assignments.
- Management of team efforts at a client or within Accenture.
- Ability to generate and pull-through business opportunities.
- Experience and understanding of core Enterprise Architecture subject matter.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of work experience; at least 5 years plus in Enterprise Architecture advisory or establishment services.
- Proven and relevant past consulting experience; alternatively global technology services firm or seasoned industry position focused on Enterprise Architecture (and demonstration of intrinsic consulting skills).
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or Honours or Masters within Information Technology or Computer Science or Informatics, and/or 8 years + experience within the related subject matter areas.
- Enterprise Architecture certifications: TOGAF 10, Zachman, Archimate

Qualifications
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or Honours or Master's within Information Technology or Computer Science or Informatics, and/or 8 years + experience within the related subject matter areas.
- Enterprise Architecture certifications: TOGAF 10, Zachman, Archimate
- Pro-actively acquired business knowledge beyond a technical role.
- Ability to craft and deliver compelling narratives to communicate complex ideas and drive engagement.
- Ability to lead teams, nurture and coach junior Enterprise Architects in the team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts to the C-Suite and non-technical stakeholders
