As one of the global leaders in telecom, Vodafone’s senior management understood that to achieve the operational and organizational efficiency it wanted, would require a more integrated approach to business processes and a common technology platform for the global business..
The resulting program, "EVO," a project name short for "evolution," launched in 2006. It represents the largest IT transformation in Vodafone’s history. It involved the creation of a global model, based on a single integrated ERP solution from SAP with a common suite of applications. The goal was to ensure that Vodafone’s global business could benefit from high-quality, consistent information, greater value and lower costs across finance, human resources and supply chain functions.
