Brad Michel is a Managing Director in Accenture’s global Accelerated R&D Services group. He is responsible for driving Accenture’s strategy, offerings and services across the Life Sciences R&D functions, from research through late stage development, and into the early stages of commercialization, launch and patient services. Prior to this role, Brad had responsibility for some of Accenture’s largest R&D client accounts.
Working in Life Sciences his entire career, Brad has a broad background in business advisory and management consulting, IT strategy and solution delivery, and outsourcing operations across Pharmaceutical R&D. His focus is on helping clients drive transformation through innovation, operational efficiency, and cost savings. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Villanova University, with minors in Business and Computer Science. He lives in suburban Philadelphia with his wife and three sons.
John Bainbridge is a Managing Director in the global Accenture Scientific Informatics Services group. He is responsible for driving strategy, offerings and services across multiple market segments including Life Sciences, Chemical, Petrochemical, Mining, Consumer Products, and Government organizations. Prior to joining Accenture, John was a Partner at LabAnswer, which Accenture acquired in 2017.
John specializes in business turnarounds, simplifying complex processes, driving value, and helping companies realize their potential. He has spent the majority of his career in professional services, supporting scientific informatics, healthcare, and business strategy consulting. John and his wife live in the Salt Lake City area near their four children and six grandchildren.
Brian Brunner is a Managing Director in Accenture’s global Accelerated R&D Services group. He is responsible for bringing Accenture’s scientific informatics services to the Medical Device, Biotech, Pharma and CxO clients; supporting research, development and the commercialization functions of these companies. Prior to this role, Brian was an Associate Partner with LabAnswer and a key contributor to the growth and expansion of LabAnswer that led to the acquisition by Accenture.
Brian has a broad background in technology, process, data and various domains including manufacturing, supply chain, clinical trials, and laboratories; among others. This broad back ground that enables Brian to bring a unique perspective when working with clients on innovation, strategy and operational excellence endeavors. Brian’s ability to partner with clients, create a shared vision of success and execute on that vision is key characteristic of his working style. Brian has a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Miami University of Ohio, and lives in suburban Denver with his wife, son and daughter.
Joe Donahue is a Managing Director with Accenture’s Accelerated Research and Development Services business where he leads Accenture’s global life sciences research practice. Mr. Donahue has more than twenty-five years of executive level entrepreneurial and Board experience in global life sciences and technology companies and private equity firms.
Prior to joining Accenture, his roles included Senior Vice President at BioReference Laboratories / GeneDx, the third largest diagnostics testing laboratory in the world, Senior Vice President Life Sciences with Thomson Reuters Intellectual Property & Science, as well as leadership positions in, or as a Board member, to several early-stage life sciences research, informatics and analytics companies. He has degrees in Medicinal Chemistry and Computer Science from Villanova University in Villanova, PA.
Pat Pijanowski is a Managing Director in Accenture's Global Accelerated R&D Services group. Mr. Pijanowski brings more than 30 years of professional experience related to laboratory operations and scientific informatics to Accenture's clients. Prior to joining Accenture, Pat led the Pharmaceuticals & Life Sciences consulting practice within LabAnswer (acquired by Accenture in 2017), where he delivered strategic advisory services to many of the world's top life sciences organizations.
Prior to joining LabAnswer, Pat served as the Chief Operating Officer for LabVantage Solutions, and prior to LabVantage, he served as the General Manager of the LIMS business unit within Applied Biosystems. Throughout that time, Pat has served in various roles focusing upon LIMS, Electronic Laboratory Notebooks, laboratory instrumentation and related scientific data systems.
Brian Potter is a Managing Director with Accenture Scientific Informatics Services, focused on innovating in the new and realizing the benefits of digital transformation for clients in pharma and life sciences. Prior to joining Accenture, Brian was an Associate Partner with LabAnswer. Brian’s career spans over 25 years of work with pharma, life sciences and healthcare clients, focused on developing and implementing solutions for their laboratory informatics and scientific analytics needs.
Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Physics from Saginaw Valley State University, a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Michigan State University, and also studied bioinformatics and data mining at both Stanford and Wayne State University. Brian has two adult children and lives with his wife in Plymouth, MI.
