Locally, Accenture collaborates with KCET Public Television, Junior Achievement, Children's Institute, California Science Center, L.A. We also work with nonprofits as diverse as Best Buddies and the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF).
Through its ‘Skills to Succeed’ corporate citizenship initiative, Accenture aims (by 2015) to equip 250,000 people worldwide with the skills they need to get a job or build a business. In California, Accenture has partnered with the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) to provide basic mentoring and coaching in the areas of resume writing, mock interviewing, presenting and networking. Through this partnership, Accenture has hosted a series of job skills seminars where more than 450 LACCD students have been able to network with over 300 Accenture employees to gain the skills necessary to attract employers and begin successful careers.
