Cybersecurity is shifting from stressing protection of vulnerable assets to promoting strengthening assets, and making them more resilient.
Who can you trust? Cybersecurity is not only expected by consumers; it’s demanded in today’s trust-based digital economy.
Mobile danger: Security professionals list a data breach or loss of service involving mobile as having the highest risk to their enterprise’s brand.
New skills required: The hottest growth areas in cybersecurity are cognitive/AI, data anonymization, behavioral tracking and automation.
Not on the board agenda: Only 5 percent of security professionals’ organizations have a chief risk officer who reports directly to the CEO or board of directors.
Threat from within: More than two thirds of security professionals have reported an attempted or realized data theft or corruption by corporate insiders.
Budget pressure: 70 percent of respondents cite a lack of, or inadequate, funding for either cybersecurity technology or security talent (including training).
