IDC MarketScape report positions Accenture as a Leader in Oracle implementation

Accenture is a Leader in Oracle implementation, according to IDC’s analysis and buyer perception released in a recent report.

The IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Oracle Implementation Services 2016 Vendor Assessment, issued in September, represents the industry analyst’s opinion on vendors that are well positioned today through current capabilities and strategies. Thirteen leading vendors were named in the study, which assesses Oracle implementation services covering the design, build, and integrate functions and includes both IT and business consulting and systems integration.

In citing Accenture as an Oracle implementation leader, the IDC MarketScape stated, "Accenture is one of the largest SIs in the Oracle implementation ecosystem in terms of both revenue and resources dedicated to the practice. Accenture offers end-to-end services capabilities from plan, design and build to application and infrastructure management. In 2015, Accenture, in collaboration with Oracle, created Accenture Oracle Business Group with the goal to transform customers in the digital era using Oracle cloud solutions. Accenture has clients spanning multiple lines of business and offers a broad set of solutions across the entire Oracle technology portfolio from on-premise apps to cloud to engineered systems. Accenture's Oracle strategy is to combine innovation, the breadth of Oracle services and the extensive partner ecosystem to help customers move to the new IT era of cloud and digital."

  • Achieving desired business outcomes

  • Integrating project team with client’s team

  • Integrating Oracle solutions with non-Oracle systems

IDC rates Accenture highly in terms of its innovation/R&D strategy and its marketing strategy.

IDC MarketScape vendor analysis model is designed to provide an overview of the competitive fitness of ICT suppliers in a given market. The research methodology utilizes a rigorous scoring methodology based on both qualitative and quantitative criteria that results in a single graphical illustration of each vendor’s position within a given market.
