Swim Across America

Saturday, September 23rd at Lake Lanier Islands.

We invite you to join Swim Across America (SAA), TEAM ACCENTURE, and Olympians such as Missy Franklin, Steve Lundquist and Amanda Weir as we dive into finding a cure for children’s cancer.

Does swimming across a lake make a difference? You bet!

Celebrating its fifth anniversary hosting the Atlanta swim, SAA supports pediatric oncology and leukemia research at the Swim Across America Lab, located at Aflac Cancer Center & Blood Disorders Center, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. SAA is a national non-profit organization that holds dozens of community-oriented open-water swims from coast-to-coast, each used to fundraise for local beneficiaries supporting cancer research, prevention and treatment.

Their mission: “We unite the swimming community by hosting benefit swims that raise money to fund lifesaving cancer research and clinical trials.”

The organization is focused on making a meaningful impact in the fight against cancer through their love of swimming. Please visit for more information.

Accenture is proud to be the presenting sponsor for SAA – Atlanta for five years in a row. Last year TEAM ACCENTURE included more than 18 swimmers and 30 volunteers who contributed $13,000 through individual donations and other fundraising initiatives. We want to sink that number with more swimmers, more volunteers, and more funds raised in 2017!

This year TEAM ACCENTURE is swimming in honor of all of the families impacted by pediatric cancer.

Volunteer/Swimmer Registration

We need your help to reach SAA’s fundraising goal of $500,000 to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Atlanta open water event.

The swim distances are .5 mile, 1 mile, 5k, 2 mile team relay (1/2 mile loop, up to 4 swimmers), and Kids Duck Splash (short distance swim for less experienced swimmers).
