Stuart Gilchrist is managing director for Health and Public Services, Accenture North America, with a focus on health payers and pharmacy benefit management (PBM) companies, mergers and acquisitions, strategy, and transformation. He has extensive experience in strategy, transformation, M&A and enterprise performance management. He serves as a senior client director for PBM and payer clients, and is a practice lead in Accenture's payer M&A practice.
Stuart has more than 30 years of experience in the health industry working with nonprofit and commercial payers and pharmacy benefit management organizations, along with various Medicare and Medicaid processors. His experience with mergers and acquisitions over nearly two decades has included work with a dozen nonprofit plans, several commercial payers and a variety of pharmacy benefit management organizations. He has taught courses on mergers and acquisitions, program and project management, systems development lifecycle methodologies, and design and analysis tools and techniques.
With a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions for payers and for PBM organizations, including growth strategies and post-merger integration, Stuart works on strategic planning and strategy mapping, and contributes to deal review and quality assurance. He is also spending much of his time on large scale enterprise transformation initiatives.
