As a founding partner of Movement to Work, Accenture is teaming across sectors to provide unemployed young people from disadvantaged backgrounds with a path to jobs in technology.
Participants gain practical skills, high-quality digital training and work experience at 240 participating employers—including Accenture—where placements focus on technology and digital skills.
To date, our partnership has led to:

A mom of three, Michelle was stretched thin between responsibilities at home, work and school. Without a degree, she struggled to find employment but Movement to Work helped her get a job with Accenture’s apprenticeship program as Software Engineering New Associate, and will be the first person in her family to graduate from university.
Shajida felt intimidated as a young woman pursuing a male-dominated field. Her Movement to Work training helped her master public speaking, sharpen her skills and gain the confidence to secure a job as a technology apprentice at Accenture.
After Faybin’s father passed away, he was inspired to persevere. Movement to Work helped him gain technical skills, secure an apprenticeship at Accenture, and succeed in making himself and his family proud.
Former amusement park ride operator Sam learned how to manage social media accounts, design websites and ace job interviews through Movement to Work’s Go Digital program. He now works in digital marketing.
