Jake Brody is a Managing Director at Accenture Federal Services who leads the company’s work with the U.S. Department of Commerce. In this role, he has oversight and responsibility for Accenture’s relationship and portfolio of work with the Department of Commerce including all of its Bureaus, Agencies, and Headquarters organizations. Brody leads a team of professionals focused on delivering digitally-led, mission-critical solutions that meet the goals and objectives of the Department, its customers and stakeholders.
Brody is the President of AFCEA Bethesda, a Washington, DC based organization focused on increasing collaboration, dialogue, and innovation between the federal civilian government and the federal IT services community. He is also a member of the Leadership Greater Washington Class of 2019.
Prior to his role as the Client Account Lead for the US Department of Commerce, Brody served as Accenture Civilian Portfolio Sales Lead with responsibility for all business development and growth initiatives across the company’s work with civilian federal agencies and nonprofit organizations, achieving 186 percent sales growth during his tenure. He led and managed a team of sales professionals working with account leads across Accenture’s Civilian Portfolio including the U.S. Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Health and Human Services, the Treasury and Interior, Office of Personnel Management and organizations such as the United Nations, the U.S. Postal Service, Amtrak and others.
As a sales capture executive, Brody was responsible for helping Accenture win significant programs across federal and state government, most notably at the Departments of State, Education, Agriculture, Commerce, Interior, the Treasury, Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Information Systems Agency, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services and the New York Metropolitan Transit Authority.
Brody joined Accenture in 1997 after serving in the administration of former Pittsburgh Mayor Tom Murphy.
Brody earned his Masters of Public Management degree from Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz School of Public Policy and Management and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He lives in Alexandria, Va., with his wife and two children.
