Ian Watt is a senior manager in Accenture’s Higher Education business. In a career dedicated to higher education, Ian has spent over fourteen years working across core domains such as enrolment, financial aid, student success, marketing and communications, and information technology.
Having worked with over forty public and private institutions, Ian’s experience of the higher education sector is both broad and deep. This experience has spanned both administrative and consultative roles, and he has served as a trusted advisor to presidents, boards, and cabinet-level executives at colleges and universities across the country. His engagements have comprised institutions of all sizes, in numerous locations, with varying institutional missions and levels of selectivity.
Ian regards his work with Tulane University after the Katrina hurricane as particularly important. He played an integral role in the development and execution of the institution’s post-Katrina recovery and rebuilding plan. As part of the administrative team responsible for securing operations immediately after the storm, he led efforts to design a post-Katrina communication, recruitment marketing, and enrollment strategy that delivered record enrolment outcomes in the following year.
Recognized for his domain knowledge and experience, Ian has been a featured speaker at national and regional higher education conferences, where he advises education leaders on the future of Higher Education.
