As the lead for Accenture’s Information Security business in Europe, Africa and Latin America (EALA), Floris drives the implementation of security for business and technology for clients across multiple sectors.
With more than 25 years of vast experience in the IT and information security domain, Floris has a holistic approach to security, helping organizations consider the wider implications of their security strategies. His recent client engagements demonstrate the depth and breadth of his work:
Collaborating with global clients to build and implement their cyber defense capabilities
Developing robust security for large IT outsourcing contracts
Designing and managing security services that clients outsource to Accenture
Working on the implementation of Identity & Access Management (I&AM) for large multinationals
Helping large multinationals and financial institutions meet compliance requirements on secure infrastructures
Floris has published several articles on information security, and is a regular speaker at conferences around the world. He is also a part-time lecturer at Erasmus University, Rotterdam, the Netherlands, where he teaches information security as part of the university’s post-graduate program in IT Auditing.
Floris is a board member of Bible League International. He is passionate about music, listening to and playing the guitar and piano, as well as running half marathons. His mantra in life is: “Love what you do and do what you love.”
