As a technology consulting senior analyst, I work directly with our clients to get a better sense of what the pain points in their job are, and figuring out how I can step in and use my skills to transform their processes and business overall. Specializing in the Resources industry, provides me with a great opportunity to work with multiple clients and build cross-functional and technology skills.
Every day I am given the opportunity to contribute my own ideas and develop solutions to real problems our team must solve for project success When I’m not collaborating with my team, I’m working face-to-face with the client to demonstrate the capabilities our Accenture team can bring to the table. Between meetings I work very heavily in Microsoft Office, to help drive ideas into meaningful conversations and help solve program-level problems.
Outside of client meetings, much of the work that I do requires only my laptop, so I sometimes take the opportunity to work from a coffee shop or the local Houston office on Friday’s to get out of the daily routine and continue to grow my network.
I have always been heavily involved with mentorship; it’s one of my favorite qualities describing people that I have found here at Accenture. They have a very strong sense of stewardship. I am currently the Recruiting and Integration Lead for the Technology Consulting Development Program in the Houston office, and I am also a Big Brother through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Houston.
In the Fall and Spring, I’m heavily engaged in Accenture’s recruiting efforts at Texas A&M (whoop!) and catching a game at Kyle Field when the opportunity presents itself. When I’m not reading up on current events/financial news, I really enjoy traveling, playing music and being outdoors – running, swimming, camping, whittling wood, etc.
Be humble and adaptable, both things will make big transitions like starting your career much easier to manage.
