I am a management consultant within Accenture’s Healthcare Provider practice, where we focus on helping providers (hospitals, physician networks, etc.) improve operations in areas such as revenue cycle and patient access. The industry is undergoing an incredible amount of change right now, and it’s exciting to be able to make an impact.
Previously I worked in Incentive Compensation Management practice helping clients optimize their sales force performance.
Every day can bring a different challenge. It definitely keeps things interesting. Project time involves a lot of data gathering and analysis to support the work we implement. Days in the local office are spend helping out on a variety of different tasks or taking part in initiatives like the new analyst buddy program.
My favorite days involve the solution design sessions on a project. After assessing what opportunities are available, we’ll work side by side with the client designing solutions to realize those opportunities. Design sessions provide a great opportunity to work directly with the client and shape what their business will look like.
I really have a passion for music, sports, and traveling. Atlanta is a great town for all of them. There’s always great music to experience on a given night, and playing music at my church has given me a great community. I also spend as much time as possible supporting YoungLife ministries. Apart from taking in as many sporting events as possible, I play in a flag football league and keep in shape running and swimming. Lastly, being outdoors hunting, fishing, or taking photos is a great way to unplug and relax with friends.
I believe people are our greatest resource, regardless of where you work or what you do. Being intentional with your time and building your network will put you in good stead both today and years down the road.
