What I do

My team and I manage the creation and activation of campaigns in the digital world for many Fortune 100 clients. We create and deliver excellent customer experiences, to influence them to engage with our clients’ products and services.

Early on, when we started work within the digital marketing space, we worked on very interesting projects for a large consumer organization that wanted to virtualize its product placements in large brick-and-mortar retail outlets. This was super exciting, since it involved a different mindset for making the virtual world as close to the real so that a shopper can experience the same feel online as what they would in-store. At that time, this was new to me and my team, and trying to create a scalable service out of a concept was one of the best experiences ever.

A day in my life

I’ve worked at Accenture for 14 years now, and I don’t think any year has been similar. The scale, the people, the variety of work and the environment that Accenture provides me has never let me feel bored for a minute. Each role that I’ve taken on feels like a new job. With each new role or project comes a whole lot of learning. I could never have imagined 14 years ago what I am doing today! Accenture as an organization has provided me with fantastic opportunities to connect to talented people across the globe, access to 24-7 learning and above all, a psychologically safe environment where I can share my thoughts and ideas freely.

We measure our success through data and analytics, then capture learnings and again take those back to our clients. My teams and I continuously keep learning the new platforms and technologies to deliver better experiences. We also subscribe to various research and news from the CMO world to keep ourselves educated on issues and successes within this space.

Outside of work, I love to travel. I like taking short breaks through the year to get completely refreshed and re-energized. Other than that, whenever I get time, I like to pick up my brushes and paint, or sometimes just doodle.

My advice

Don’t be shy or overwhelmed with technology. It’s an enabler, and only if you embrace it will you be able to survive and thrive in today’s fast-paced digital world.

Love what you do. Only when you are passionate about it will you do a fabulous job. Keep learning, and never stop. Education is the best gift you can give yourself.

Set stretch goals, as only then will you work hard enough to reach them. And the sense of achievement will inspire you to do more.
